God, in His great goodness, has blessed us with the gift of angels. Yes, they are real. Belief in the angels is an act of faith in God knowing He will always provide His providential care. What solace and comfort we are given to know that angels protect us from dangers and help guide us throughout our lives. These pure spirits are messengers and servants of the Lord carrying out His mission. May we call upon the angels to help us to our heavenly-home.
"Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Christ and Lord." (Luke 2: 10-11)
Merry Christmas! Today we celebrate the greatest gift of all; Jesus Christ.
God with us.
“In whatever state the soul may be, it ought to pray.” – St. Faustina
The official prayer of the Catholic Church has many names; the Divine Office, the Liturgy of the Hours and the Breviary each refer to this rich prayer that has undergone various modifications throughout the centuries. At its core, though, the Liturgy of the Hours/Divine Office/Breviary is meant to sanctify the day with prayer and offer praise to God at all hours.
