"Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Christ and Lord." (Luke 2: 10-11)

Merry Christmas! Today we celebrate the greatest gift of all; Jesus Christ.

God with us.

God, in His great goodness, has blessed us with the gift of angels. Yes, they are real. Belief in the angels is an act of faith in God knowing He will always provide His providential care. What solace and comfort we are given to know that angels protect us from dangers and help guide us throughout our lives. These pure spirits are messengers and servants of the Lord carrying out His mission. May we call upon the angels to help us to our heavenly-home.

Religious brothers and sisters live out their call to consecrated life in gloriously diverse ways. Regardless of their order, apostolate, or mission, they take vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. Their lives remind us that our true home is in heaven and their sacrifice witnesses to the radical love of Christ. Check out some of our blogs about religious brothers and sisters:

Today's Gift of the Church is what sets the Catholic faith apart from every other religion. Though there is truth in many other religions, only the Catholic Church founded by Jesus Christ himself contains the fullness of it. Though the Church is not perfect, we can trust that Catholicism is the path to eternal life. God leads his Church and will not let her go astray.
